Cary Mullen WOWS the Houston Office Leasing Brokers Association!

Our customer put herself on the line to convince the group to use an outside speaker. Their attendance for the event doubled! Sandy said in the past that many of the more senior brokers would leave during the speaker and that every person in the room would be on their Blackberry. On Thursday, no one left and no Blackberries! Shawn Hanks, Premiere Speakers Bureau

Life Insurance Speaker - Scott Burrows

Scott is genuine, his determination and willpower are infectious. We all face challenges and what I learned from Scott is how we respond to them is what really matters. Scott understands his audience and asks all the right questions to prepare. He brought us to our feet. His message is one all of our children should hear.

I believe he is one of the most genuine speakers I have seen.

Scott Burrows Plays Golf with the Club Managers Asso of America

During my time at this event the Association made tee times for us to play Old Colliers Golf Course and Pelican Marsh. Two very high end Private Golf Courses. The other gentleman who joined me was a Success Coach Speaker from Canada.

Old Collier sits in downtown Naples with no houses on it... You have to have a minimum net worth of 30 million to be considered to be a member. Once a member you have to write a check for $280K just to say you belong to this pristine club. Pelican Marsh is in a Gated Community with multi million dollar homes surrounding the course.

We had a blast playing in 102 degree temperatures!! Even with sweat running down our faces we both broke a score of 100 from the Blue Tees. Both evenings the Association arranged dinner at the world famous La Playa. It sits right on the Gulf of Mexico with 2 beautiful pools overlooking the Gulf. Our 1st evening together was at the Private Club, upstairs at the La Playa. A sit down 5 course meal. The last night we ate at the restaurant overlooking the ocean... This group knows how to throw an event...

Al Kinkle's Testimonial - "Thanks so much for taking the time to attend the Florida CMAA Summer Conference at LaPlaya and for your excellent presentation. Your life story and the challenges you have faced are an inspiration to me and everyone who attended."

Scott Burrows - Great Motivational Speaker for Real Estate

I found Scott's presentation to our group to be an awesome experience. His delivery and information was inspiring, refreshing, and so very sincere.
He made it obvious that determination and focus on ones’ goals can produce results. His message put business fears and concerns in proper perspective for our audience compared to what we are facing. I shall definitely refer him to others.

Motivation for Associations

Hi Cary! I wanted to thank you again for giving our keynote address at the California Apartment Association Expo and Conference yesterday morning. Your talk was not only fascinating, it was dynamic and stimulating, and definitely set the tone we wanted for the rest of the event. I had dozens of people compliment me on your talk and thank me, and Lisa, for bringing you in to share your success and motivation. My own staff is already walking around the office talking about Lunging Forward, so I know that you made a huge impression. The rest of the day went extremely well, too, and the energy you generated lasted throughout the entire day.

Cary Mullen Great Motivational Speaker for Associations

In my years of working with professional speakers you are by far the most compelling and captivating I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Your ability to deliver such a sincere message of instruction and motivation while sharing the human element was outstanding. I could see the audience intently listening while writing down your words of wisdom about how to reach for our goals and make a difference in our everyday lives. Your ability to apply what we discussed in the pre-planning process was priceless!

Motivational Speaker with a Formula

Can Scott's presentation work for a customer:
- that wants the attendees to leave with an understanding of the organization's values, i.e, win/win mentality, integrity, commitment, communication through listening, creativity, customers first, teamwork, trust, success through others
- and leave with the feeling that the organization supports a happy and balanced life?

You bet...here's why.

Scott shares his inspiring and motivating life-changing story as the backdrop to the formula that has hugely impacted his own life...during and after his accident...and professionally in the insurance industry and as an entrepreneur.

1. The clarity provided by having a Vision
2. The Mindset of not resisting against change, teamwork, the organization
3. Having Grit - with things that appear to be tedious in our professional lives...like being consistent with good habits, doing the right thing, treating people fairly

All of this is customized to the organization's goals and objectives.

Diversity Speaker - Scott Burrows

Scott's personal story applies well to diversity:

* While building his insurance practice, he learned how to deal with different types of people from all walks of life, from different businesses and professions.

* He did this so well that after his first year, 90% of his insurance business came from personal referrals.

* Scott also owns an exporting business - he has been successfully doing business with the Chinese for the last 12 years, using his powerful relationship skills to overcome any diversity challenges that have arisen.

Leadership and Communications Expert A Hit with Health Care

Cheryl was dynamite! She created quite an impact. The energy in the theatre was high. We had over 820 participants in the first employee session, over 700 at the second one and over 200 leaders at the leadership session - the presentation was authentic, powerful and she provided tools anyone could easily use, should they choose to. The message of personal accountability was delivered with wit, humour and passion. This was one of our most successful events!

The Age of Speed Expected To Be A Best Seller

Things are getting very exciting on The Age of Speed front - everyone in the book industry thinks this will be THE # 1 best seller of the fall releases. Vince Poscente met with all the sales reps at NBN the last week of April - they're distributing this book to all the retail and online book outlets. Their fall catalogue of 700 titles has The Age of Speed as their lead book - it's shown on a 2 page spread at the very front of their catalogue - so they are getting behind Vince's book in a very big way - very exciting! xo K.

Vince Poscente - Motivating an IT Audience

In the last dozen or so IT conferences from San Francisco to Paris I have focused on giving a message that has many layers.

Number one is the experience. People never forget an experience. This is why I open the presentation by describing what it would be like for you to ski at 135 mph.

Number two is the content. I present a 5C strategy for peak performance in today’s more-faster-now culture. Clarity of Vision, Commitment, Consistency, Confidence and Control. IT professionals love statistics (imagine that…) and I factor in the Dr. Pulos’ research on the conscious and subconscious mind. The metaphor for conscious mind (the ant) and the subconscious mind (the elephant) is outlined in my latest book, The Ant and the Elephant.

Number three (and just as important as the first two) is the motivation. By virtue of drawing the IT people into a story of recreational skier to Olympics puts extraordinary goals within reach. As you can see on the preview DVD, I use a lot of experiential language to bring the audience into the story. This makes the content and the experience sticky.

Scott Burrows - Another MO Farm Bureau Testimonial

Scott did an absolutely tremendous job at our company's All Star Sales Conference. He has a powerful message and delivers it in a way that really gets the attention of his audience. At alternating times he had the audience laughing, crying, but throughout he had them thinking about how they were handling the challenges they each face every day.

I had the opportunity to visit with Scott by phone prior to his speech. He was sincerely interested in what made our organization tick, and wanted to know what issues our agents are currently facing. He incorporated our discussion into his speech, personalizing it for our group.

The morning of his speech I met Scott early to do a sound and video check, and to make sure the staging worked for his presentation. We also got to visit during the breakfast prior to our awards program and his speech. You can learn a great deal about someone by working with him and conversing with him over a meal. Scott is a truly nice person, very easy to talk with, and has a warm and engaging personality.

Scott would be a great fit as a speaker for any organization, but particularly for the insurance industry, given his background as a member of MDRT. I would highly recommend Scott as a speaker to anyone.

James A. Perch, Marketing Resources Director
Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance Services

Scott Burrows - Another State Farm Testimonial

Scott Burrows can move a room! Scott spoke to my market area during our Kick Off Meeting for 2007. Scott's message of Vision, Mindset and Grit was a hit among the group of 275 participants. Scott's approach was very consistent with what my group is accustomed to. I was also impressed with how Scott came into the pre-event dinner the night before and mingled with many of the guests. By spending time with my group, Scott gained a better understanding of their everyday world. Many of the participants thought Scott was one of them!

Scott also did a very good job researching my company. He mixed company messages provided before the meeting into his presentation. I was impressed that he was able to speak our language without notes. I had and continue to have meeting participants write me notes, e-mails and letters about the motivating message Scott delivered.

Scott is very easy to work with and I enjoyed getting to know him. I've been going to kick off meetings for nearly 15 years and I have to say Scott's presentation was one of the most motivating messages I've been a part of at a meeting.

I plan to use Scott again and appreciate who he is and what he has to share! The world is a better place having a Scott Burrows around!!

John Langcuster
Vice President-Agency
State Farm Insurance

Scott Burrows - State Farm Testimonial

"Scott has one of the most Powerful and Inspirational messages I have ever heard. His story really puts things in perspective, and is living proof that if you truly believe...there is no doubt that you will achieve! If you and your team need an inspirational and motivational experience, I highly recommend Scott."

Brent Wroten, Agency VP
State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co.

Scott Burrows - MO Farm Bureau Testimonial

"Inspirational," "motivational," "thought-provoking," all these otherwise cliché phrases become valid assessments when used to describe Scott Burrows' presentation to our statewide insurance agency force. His personal story intrigues an audience immediately, but it is how he deals with life-altering challenges that captures attention and compels listeners to resolve to apply his attitude to their own personal circumstances. I've had the opportunity to listen to many speakers throughout my career, and I sincerely believe that Scott Burrows is one of the best I've ever heard. I am confident that his message could apply to any profession and should be heard by everyone.

Vince Poscente - Information Technology Audience

IT professionals have experienced a great deal of transition in the last decade. They may have signed up for “tech jobs” but have found themselves as key players; they are now oriented as a profit center and under pressure to understand the human condition. The above transitions run parallel with the theme of my next book, The Age of Speed - what to do with an oncoming force - you embrace it and use it to your advantage. Growth in this market place will be facilitated by the leadership groups who grasp and embrace innovation.

Jeff Salz - On Change and Overcoming Adversity

The Adventure of Change presentation is all about overcoming adversity – the main themes Jeff shares are:
  • Easy times are our enemy - adversity is truly a gift – it wakes us up.
  • The journey of change is ceaseless – the real challenge is to face it with a joyful heart.
  • True success and vitality stem from the commitment to be the best you have ever been.

Jeff gives people a roadmap to follow for overcoming adversity.

  1. Leap Before You Look: Commit to a sense of adventure, take action and develop intuitive skills.

  3. Give It All You’ve Got: Harness the power of synergy, participation and contribution.

Yossi Ghinsberg - Motivation for the Health Industry

From: "Jerry Meyer"
Date: February 7, 2007 11:21:37 AM GMT+10:00
To: "yossi ghinsberg"
Subject: January 29, 2007

Yossi,
As you are aware at Aegis we have some incredibly powerful speakers at our annual meetings, but you are among the most impressive we have ever had.

It was amazing to all who attended how you could weave a gripping tale of survival in the Amazon, against all odds, into a story that had practical application in all of our lives. Somehow you were able to open up the complexities of the universe with all its wonders and its bounty and demonstrate how it has a positive message that correlates to the most common levels of everyday life.

Our team of senior managers left your presentation filled with an inspiring view of how each of them could take the adversities that are sometimes thrown at them, put these challenges in perspective and turn them into positive growth experiences. Yours is a message not of some ethereal value, but it touches all who hear it with a sense of wonder and of awe at the power each of us has.
For me, personally, I know your message is something I will always carry with me. With all warmest regards and affection,

Jerry C. Meyer
Chief Operating Officer
Aegis Living

Yossi Ghinsberg on Overcoming Adversity

This Monday, I had the honor of watching Yossi totally captivate an audience. What an incredible storyteller! AND his story is one of the best I’ve seen for inspiring organizations that are going through tough stuff. Yossi puts things into perspective - a perspective that inspires us to treasure each adversity because life is never short of a miracle.

Here are some of the messages Yossi shares in each of his presentations:
  • In extreme adversity, the hero in each of us rises.
  • Nobody escapes adversity, it is part of life. Being a victim of adversity is always a choice.
  • When your vision and purpose are clear, the rest is technical.
  • When you’re one with what you are doing, mountains move - walls collapse.

Here are some highlights from Yossi’s experience:

  • He was lost in the jungle alone for 21 days.
  • He had no food, no water, no weapons to defend himself.
  • He survived numerous white water rapids, a huuuuge waterfall that should have killed him, a jaguar attack, the worst monsoon flood the indigenous people had ever experienced, attacks by red and fire ants, etc, etc.

Yossi's experience is like something you would read in a novel and his presentation is so powerful it’s like attending a movie. The big difference is he uses no visuals - his words are so powerful that you are in the jungle, in the rushing waterfall and experiencing everything with him as if you were the one lost in the jungle.

Yossi's Power to Survive (the title of his signature keynote) is a must see / hear / experience for every organization who need to breathe life into their people!

xo Karen

Scott Burrows - Perfect for Sales Audiences

Yesterday Scott spoke in Kansas for State Farm and he was an absolute hit – 2 standing ovations and the Agency VP asked us to ship him 4 preview DVDs so he can promote Scott to the 4 other regions he manages. Watch for the testimonial coming soon!

Why does Scott resonate so well with a sales audience? Here's why:
  • A former life insurance agent (with Northwestern Mutual Life) who grew his business through 90% referrals after his 1st year.
  • He achieved the Million Dollar Round Table in just 5 years - he knows what it's like to be paid on commission.
  • He runs his own exporting business, which means he is accountable for prospecting and closing deals while paying for all overhead and expenses.
Many of the sales groups he's spoken for have never heard a personal interest story that also brings sales experience to the table.

Jeff Salz - Himalayan Adventure Sold Out Again!

The 2007 Mountains and Monasteries Expedition is completely sold out except for one lucky bureau agent who will be awarded their spot after the Trek contest ends on March 31, 2007. This expedition promises to be as life-changing as last year's, full of spiritual-minded seekers interested in the joy of discovery and the fellowship of a unique, shared adventure. A handful of folks who don't mind a little rigor and discomfort in pursuit of the experience of a lifetime. To see just exactly what Jeff has planned for everyone click here.

Cary Mullen on Leadership

Cary Mullen currently holds the World Downhill Speed Record for skiing 97 miles per hour down the world’s most famous ski course in Kitzbuhel, Austria. Cary was a non-prodigy who used the leadership skills inherent in the five Winning Secrets™ to ultimately become a two-time Olympian and World Cup Champion. During his keynote, Cary shares 2 or 3 of the Secrets - those that are most pertinent to the organization, such as:

Teamwork Wins: Harness the power of a team to save time and energy, stay motivated and increase your own personal results and the results of the team.
Be Resilient: Persevere through adversity with adaptable persistence and keep defeat from deflating you while you modify your approach to get even better results in the future.

Vince Poscente on Leadership

Vince Poscente, a business consultant and inductee into the Speaker Hall of Fame, used his unique perspective on leadership to reach the gold medal round of the Olympic speed-skiing competition only four years after deciding to compete—with no previous racing experience. With every effort concentrated on achieving his own top speed, he began to develop a formula of 'leadership for the self' which has since permeated every aspect of his business and personal life. During his keynote, Vince shares these 2 messages from his 'leadership for the self' formula:

  • Do what the competition is not willing to do.
  • Use the speed of life and business to your advantage rather than resist it.
